Countywide Town Hall Meeting on WATER – MAY 7, 2015

“Out Here, Whiskey’s For Drinkin’ … and Water’s for Fightin’ Over”

As the above quote by Mark Twain jokes, water is a hot topic and will become more so as we move into summer – and as the drought continues. Sierra Foothill Democrats are hosting a community-wide, non-partisan, town hall meeting to discuss water issues of concern to us all. Here is an opportunity to hear two perspectives (statewide and local) on our water problems; how we got here, where we’re at and what the future may hold.

David Abelson, an environmental attorney, former Deputy Attorney General for California, will present a brief history on water in California. Alan Day, a member of the EID Board of Directors and a Director on the El Dorado Water and Power Authority, will discuss our county’s current water issues and what the future may hold.

Time will be provided for questions and answers. You are invited to attend this very important and informative community town hall meeting:
When: Thursday, May 7, 2015
Time: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Where: Cameron Park Community Services District
2502 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park

To make the most of our time together, and to ensure your questions/concerns are addressed, please email any water questions you may have to:
