The protest was about informing the people of Placerville about the direction the Mayor and City Council are taking in regards to development in Placerville. The recent approval of the roundabout and the upcoming approval of Redevelopment are both part of that.
A block away at Town Hall, the third and final public “workshop” on Placerville’s Redevelopment Plan went on as scheduled. If you were unable to attend, Save Our County has a whole page dedicated to Placerville Redevelopment (click here).
Our wonderful Sierra weather only allowed us to stay out for an hour. The snow hit us hard and we decided to disband due to public safety issues. We wanted folks to keep their eyes on the road.
