A g e n d a   21 – You Decide

The information on this page is presented to give you an understanding of how Agenda 21 policy is incompatible with the rights and freedoms of American Citizens.

Summed up briefly: United Nations Agenda 21 plan of radical so-called ‘sustainable development’ views the American way of life of private property ownership, single-family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms all as destructive to the environment.

Watch the videos and do the research for yourself, and then, you decide if ‘sustainable development’ is a policy we should be implementing in El Dorado County.

“Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.

Agenda 21, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the Statement of principles for the Sustainable Management of Forests were adopted by more than 178 Governments at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, 3 to 14 June 1992. Source: United Nations

VIDEO –  The John Birch Society: A clean environment is important to us all. We have an obligation to maintain our resources and sustain our environment for future generations. Sustaining our environment has led us down the road to environmentalism. Then a strange thing happened. Environmentalism came to a fork in the road. While the rhetoric took one route, the agenda took another. Explore this topic and discover how Agenda 21 will affect you.

“Whether there is such a thing as a world plan for socialist domination must be answered by individuals pondering recent, sometimes strange confluences of world events. But if there were such a plan, would it appear in any clearer form that the United Nations Agenda 21 program?

Agenda 21 is a plank of UN policy encouraging the globe to embrace Sustainable Development, which conservatives understand as a code word for global Marxism:

Sustainable development sounds like a nice idea, right? It sounds nice, until you scratch the surface and find that Agenda 21 and sustainable development are really cloaked plans to impose the tenets of social justice/socialism on the world. At risk from Agenda 21; Private property ownership; Single-family homes; Private car ownership and individual travel choices; and Privately owned farms.”

Trickle-down effect to El Dorado County level is in H.CON.RES.353’s language: “Whereas the ultimate success of achieving sustainable development and a healthy environment at the national and international levels depends upon actions taken at the State and local community levels, and on actions by schools, public offices, businesses, and citizens…”

AND-

“(9) the President should submit an annual report to the Congress on the steps taken by the United States to implement Agenda 21 and the recommendations made by this resolution, and should make information regarding such steps available to members of the Congress upon their request.”

The Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) was created in December 1992 to ensure effective follow-up of UNCED, to monitor and report on implementation of the agreements at the local, national, regional and international levels. It was agreed that a five year review of Earth Summit progress would be made in 1997 by the United Nations General Assembly meeting in special session.

At the Federal level, EPA, HUD, And DOT have implemented Agenda 21’s ‘Sustainable’ policy (they dropped the AG21 part of it, and just call it sustainable now): http://www.epa.gov/dced/partnership/index.html

The Presidential blog discusses it: http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2010/07/09/urban-update-sustainable-communities

At the California level, we have Brown’s new Climate Change portal discussing sustainable living: http://www.climatechange.ca.gov/

The language is the same in all these sites. I encourage everyone to read the AG21 document and explore the United Nations Agenda 21 website– it’s where it all derives from: http://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/index.php?page=view&nr=23&type=400&menu=35

Agenda 21 policy, and its implementation undercut the constitutional freedoms of American Citizens. It’s already telling us where we should live. Here in California it’s under the guise of the Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Act of 2008, also know as SB375, and right now our Board of Supervisors are amending the General Plan and Zoning Ordinances to align with those policies.

LOCALLY – On May 15, 2012 El Dorado County Supervisor John Knight submitted agenda Item 20 for consideration before the EDC BOS.  It was defined as:  Resolution to Expose Agenda 21.

To summarize what happened, Supervisor Knight pulled it from calendar indefinitely due to his misunderstanding of the resolution’s meaning.  Several residents asked the Supervisors to set a new date to discuss the resolution’s implications at a later time, but those requests were ignored.

It doesn’t matter what country the Agenda 21 documents come from.  They’re all the same.  Here’s different sites from all over the planet.
