CLARKSVILLE DAY SATURDAY MAY 7 – 10AM

Clarksville Day

May 07, 2011
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

El Dorado Hills Chamber

The 5th Annual Clarksville Day will be held at the historic “ghost” town of Clarksville on White Rock Road behind EDH Town Center on May 7th from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m. We celebrate the colorful history of our area that started in 1849 till the town faded out and the area became El Dorado Hills in the 1960’s.

Besides still standing sites, we have the Pony Express remounts as Clarksville was a remount station, we have the longest stretch of the Lincoln Highway in Calif in tact where classic antique cars will parade and be on display, the Mormon Pioneer Group complete with cannon will show how the pioneers lived [ Clarksville had the Mormon Tavern and the Mormon Tavern cemetery which is still in use as the Clarksville Cemetery, we have gold panning, mountain men, shoot outs, music and food and more…a fun family event.
