EL DORADO COUNTY SUPERVISORS SERVED
NOTICES OF INTENTION TO RECALL

October 27, 2015, Placerville, CA – El Dorado County Supervisors Sue Novasel and Michael Ranalli were served with Notices of Intention to Circulate Recall Petitions at their regular Board meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.  The Notices were served by a countywide group of individuals spanning from El Dorado Hills to South Lake Tahoe, and Georgetown to Somerset.

Supervisor Brian Veerkamp was not at the Board meeting and will be served with his Notice upon his return.  The group’s goal is to recall all 5 Supervisors, including Supervisors Shiva Frentzen and Ron Mikulaco.  This General Recall is unprecedented in El Dorado County and likely unprecedented in California.

The petitioners cite Lack of Representation, Lack of Fiscal Responsibility, Abuse of Power, and Cronyism among other allegations.

During the September 29, 2015 Board of Supervisors meeting, interim Chief Administrative Officer Larry Combs stated, “Your board is elected to represent the people…  and when they’re not happy with your performance, they will elect somebody else to represent them.”

El Dorado County resident Kevin McAllister stated, “The citizens of El Dorado County are sick and tired of the corruption, cronyism, and lack of representation in the County, and it’s time for a clean sweep.”

Last year’s battles over a rural or urban future for El Dorado County pitted grassroots community groups against the huge financial backing of special interests.  As a result, it is clear that citizens must rise up together from all over the county to fight for better representation.  This recall effort is anticipated to be a battle of epic proportions, like David and Goliath.  This may be our last opportunity to save our most important asset, the rural character of El Dorado County.

Donations of any size are appreciated.  Donations will be used to pay for printing and distributing the recall petitions. Send checks payable to El Dorado County Total Recall, P.O. Box 268, Shingle Springs, California 95682.  An informational website will be available at http://www.edcTotalRecall.com.
